She was 89. She was born Nov. 18, 1920, to George and Lillian Reynolds in Portland, Ore. She was frequently and affectionately referred to as Mary Beth to those who knew her. As a young girl, she loved to play the piano, read, sew and cook. Her participation in the rainbow girl program taught her the joys of helping others through charity work and arts and crafts. In high school, Mary Beth met her lifelong love, Donald R. Wilson; they were married prior to World War II in 1943. Mary Beth's husband, Donald, joined the Air Force and served as a pilot. During that time, Mary Beth enrolled in and graduated from nursing school to ultimately give back to others in need. Donald and Mary Beth started their family after the war. In addition to being a great mother, Mary Beth also found great purpose in life as a nurse where she helped provide for her family as well as tend to the care of those suffering in hospitals. She continued helping others in need as a social worker in public health. Mary Beth was fond of cool breeze coastal weather and opted to retire in Lincoln City. Donald and Mary Beth purchased the Lancer Street house in 1990 and doting Donald customized the kitchen for Mary Beth so that she could cook with ease. She loved the Lancer Street house and lived there until her death surrounded by her family and loyal neighbors. She is survived by a daughter, Claudia; and son, Dee; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anne (Reynolds) Leo. Services have been held.
