Interment followed in the Ona Cemetery at Beaver Creek. Rev. G. W. Henriksen of the Church of the Nazarene conducted the rites. Mrs. Cook was born in San Francisco, California, on February 22,1899 and died at her home in Newport on January 12, 1972. She had been a resident of Newport since 1925, and until illness forced her retirement, had been employed as a housekeeper for the Pacific Communities Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bernice C. Harrington of Newport, three sons, Isaac Trevillian of Seal Rock, John J. Keiffer of Klamath Falls, and James W. Cook of Cloverdale; a brother, Paul Young of Beverly Beach; four sisters, Mrs. Dorthea Knittle of Olympia, Washington, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith in New Mexico, Mrs. Confidence Christensen of Mitchell, and Mrs. Ruth Boeck of Seal Rock; and sixteen grandchildren.
