She was born Jan. 17, 1973 to Suzen Maxwell and Roger Stevens in Springfield, Mass. She was born with a cognitive disability. She completed 10 years of schooling and then entered a work program. She lived in an adult family home, and worked at Pizza Hut until March 2008, when she was diagnosed with cancer. She had also worked for Shangri La in South Beach, Ore. She enjoyed books, music and taking care of her doll "Harmony." She is survived by her mother, Suzen Maxwell; and sister, Kelli Heidtmann, of Lincoln City. Memorial donations may be made to Bright Horizon Therapeutic Riding Center, P.O. Box 1238, Newport, OR 97365, or the Julie Ann Stevens Scholarship Fund, Oregon Coast Bank, 1398 SW Harbor Ave., Lincoln City, OR 97367.
