She was born Aug. 16, 1956 to Clarence Schofield and Thelma (Bonnie) Nunn in Phoenix, Ariz. She attended school while growing up in Phoenix. In 1973, she married Lawrence Busch, and they later divorced in 1978. She met Michael Pruenau in 1987, and two years later they had a daughter, Lindsay Schofield. Carol completed her Certified Nursing Assistant training and worked as a caregiver throughout her life, including the care of her mother after her stepfather's death, until her mother moved to Phoenix. She then retired and relocated to Lincoln City. She loved going to the beach and collecting agates. She was an accomplished home decorator and also created floral decorations. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Schofield; mother, Thelma (Bonnie) Wisdom; and stepfather, Calvin Wisdom. She is survived by daughters, Lindsay Schofield and Jordyn McCallie of Lincoln City; sisters, Rhonda (Mark) Mitchell of Phoenix, Ellen "Candy" (Hank) Strouther of Sparks, Nev., Nina (Cookie) Laswell of Phoenix, and Jamie Schofield of Gaston; brothers, Dwight (Patti) Schofield of Hillsboro, and Robert Wisdom of McMinnville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Lindsay Schofield c/o US Bank, 928 SW Fifth St., Lincoln City or any U.S. Bank branch location.
