OSP and the Lincoln County Major Crimes Team said Olissa Jackson, 49, was driven to North Lincoln Hospital in a red 1999 Dodge pickup with injuries associated with falling from a vehicle around 7:30 p.m. Preliminary investigation suggests 23-year-old Derek Ingram of Depoe Bay is suspected of being the driver of the Dodge pickup during the incident at Tierra Del Mar Beach near Pacific City in Tillamook County, police said. Jackson died soon after after being transferred by helicopter to a Portland-area hospital. The Tillamook County District Attorney's Office is coordinating the investigation. An autopsy was planned today at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. Oregon State Police detectives, with the assistance of the Lincoln County interagency Major Crimes Team and Tillamook County District Attorney's Office, are continuing the investigation into this weekend's death of a 49-year old Lincoln City woman. An autopsy is pending at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. According to OSP Lieutenant Mike Turner, on Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2010, OSP was notified by Lincoln City Police Department about a death investigation their department started Saturday evening involving the victim, Olissa Jackson, age 49, from Lincoln City. On April 17th at approximately 7:36 p.m. Jackson was reportedly driven to North Lincoln Hospital in a red 1999 Dodge pickup with injuries associated with falling from a vehicle. Jackson was initially treated at North Lincoln Hospital then taken by ground ambulance to the Grand Ronde area where she was picked up by helicopter and flown to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland. Jackson was pronounced deceased after arriving at Legacy Emanuel Hospital. OSP Criminal Investigations Division detectives were called out to respond along with members of the interagency Lincoln County Major Crimes Team. The ongoing investigation determined the incident happened at Tierra Del Mar Beach near Pacific City in Tillamook County, not at a Lincoln City-area beach as originally reported. This beach is about 35 minutes from the Lincoln City-area hospital where Jackson was initially taken to. The Dodge pickup believed to be involved in the incident was located and seized. The driver was identified as Derek Ingram, age 23, from Depoe Bay. OSP Detective Phil Richardson is the lead investigator.
