She was born Dec. 6, 1942 to Raymond and Violet Esther (Dupuy) Sarter in Eugene, Ore. She grew up in Oregon, California and Nevada with her family following the harvest seasons. She married Clarence "Chuck" Fleming on June 3, 1962 in Yachats, Ore., and they continued to follow the harvest for some time. They moved to Oregon in 1963, living in Lincoln County and Grand Ronde. A homemaker, she was an avid bowler, posting a 202 average at her highest. She also enjoyed fishing (although she didn't eat her catch), and she was a crafts person, enjoying embroidery, crocheting, painting, sewing and always keeping busy. She was a member of the American Legion Post 116 in Newport, serving as president of the auxiliary for many years. She helped tend bar there and later was a security guard. She was a good listener, and loved animals. She is survived by her husband, Clarence "Chuck" Fleming of Grand Ronde; son, Bobb (Rosie) Fleming of Grand Ronde; daughter, Tina (Allen Reynoldson) Fleming of Newport; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the VFW, 771 NE Main St. in Willamina, Ore. Memorial donations may be made to the Oregon Humane Society, P.O.
