She was born April 11, 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She attended Bradley University, and was a homemaker and mother of four daughters. She previously resided in Waldport, Ore. for 27 years. She was passionate about her faith in God and felt comfort knowing that he held a place for her. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Craig Hoffarth; daughters, Susan Black of Phoenix, Ore., Catherine Rogers of Portland, Ore., Tami Wellford of Kansas City, and Pamela Petersen of Salem, Ore.; sisters, Gloria Goodman and Jean Dare; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. At the family's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
