She was born Dec. 25, 1915 to Harry Cone and Lydia Schreiber in McMinnville, Ore. She attended business school and was married to Lyle Hayes Truax. She was a homemaker. She lived in Vancouver, Wash. prior to living in Seal Rock for 31 years. She was a member of the PTA, League of Women Voters and UNICEF. She was also a member of the Makai Home Owners Association and the garden club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Hayes Truax. She is survived by her children, Ana Quinn, Bonnie Truax-Gatrell, Lyle Truax Jr. and Martha Truax; and her brothers, Steve Cone and Don Cone. Her friends and family will remember her for her bright feisty mind and her generous, loving spirit. A memorial service, officiated by Robert Purdue, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 at Yachats Community Presbyterian Church.
