He was born Jan. 15, 1944 to Merle and Dorothy Sears in Newport, Ore. He lived in Newport and Rose Lodge, Ore. most of his life before moving to Puyallup. He was the former owner of the Chili Bowl Tavern in Newport. Before becoming ill, he loved to travel to Mexico at least twice a year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Dorothy Sears; and his sister, Debbie McDonald. He is survived by two daughters, Danielle (Jim) Parker of Buckley, Wash. and Karna (Rudy) Magno of Pearl City, Hawaii; his sister, Elaine Sears; grandchildren, Jordyn Parker, Caleb Parker, Kendra Parker, Justin Magno and Jarett Magno; niece Heather Cooper of Port Angeles, Wash. and nephew, Ross Mattson of Bellingham, Wash.
