He was born Nov. 17, 1916 in Portland to Joseph and Mary Cappa Mueller. He had been a resident of Waldport since 1976 and was a previous resident of Clackamas. He married Anne Torres in Portland on May 30, 1953. He attended St. John's High School in Milwaukie and attended four years of seminary at Mount Angel in the 1960s. He started J. Mueller's Nursery in Clackamas, and was its owner and operator until his retirement in 1976. Mr. Mueller was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He and a friend established South Lincoln Resources and the St. Vincent DePaul Chapter at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Waldport. He was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus, a Eucharistic minister and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister. He is survivied by his wife, Anne of Waldport, sons Anthony and Paul Mueller, both of Healy, Alaska, a daughter, Martha Beard of Havio, Montana, stepchildren; Conseuela White of Port Angeles, Wash.; and Joseph Torres of Wilsonville; a brother, Father Frank Mueller of Bartow, Alaska; and nine grandchildren and four greatgranchildren. The family suggests donations be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Waldport or Newport Rehab in Newport. Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Waldport, with Mass to follow. Interment will be in Yachats Cemetery.
