MORNING A. BOONE Mourning Ann Young (as printed in newspaper) was born in Indiana, June 15th, 1838. In 1847, with her parents, she crossed the plains to Oregon and settled on the Mohawk river. In 1852, she was married to George L. Boone and moved on a farm near Philomath. To this union fourteen children were born, nine of whom survive her: Mrs. Ellen Burk of Seaside, Calif.; T. N. Boone of Suminer, OR; Mrs. Emma Bergln, of Portland, OR; George A. Boone of Ashland, OR; Mrs. Olive Stillwell of Los Angles, Calif.; D.A. Boone, of Portland, OR; William C., Victor L. and A.P. Boone, all of Toledo, Oregon. In 1870 they sold their farm near Philomath and moved to Yaquina Bay and settled on a homestead, where they resided until 1905, when they sold their farm and moved to Medford. After the death of her husband in 1911, she came back to Toledo where she lived until her death. Besides her children, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Shelton, of Portland, OR; and Mrs. Jane Younger, of Burns, OR; and a brothr, Albred Young living some place in Idaho. (Note: Albred is the spelling used in the paper.) Besides her children, she had 34 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She died at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 5 days.
