MILLER Word has been received of the death of Elsworth D. "ED" Miller, aged 62 of Portland. His mother, Mrs. Ida Louis Miller, passed away a little less than a month ago, and was buried in the Eureka Cemetery at Newport. Funeral services for Mr. Miller were held at the Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham January 21, followed by interment in the Willamette National Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born in Portland on October 29, 1909 and died at the Veterans Hospital in Portland, on January 18, after an extended illness. He had been a Portland resident for the past three years, but had lived most of his life in the Newport area. After his discharge from the Navy, he operated a television and radio repair shop in Newport until illness forced his retirement. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 907 of Portland. Survivors include his widow, Louise; a son, Gerald, of Portland; a brother, Wiley of Sausalito, California; and three grandchildren.
