She was born July 26, 1945 to Raymond and Herma Moore in Los Angeles, Calif. She graduated from high school and attended University of California, Los Angeles. She was an accomplished writer, artist and musician. She had written music for television and has paintings on permanent display in the Downey County Museum in California. She is best known for publishing four books, including "Bagles for Tea" and "Red Sea, Dead Sea" with co-author Serita Stevens. In addition to being an author, she was a lineman for Pacific Bell Telephone Co., prior to an injury. She was a member of the Siletz Gospel Tabernacle Church. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Moore, who died in World War II before her birth, and her mother Herma Moore. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, at the Siletz Gospel Tabernacle Church, 164 NE Palmer St. in Siletz. Affordable Burial and Cremation in Newport is handling arrangements.
