She was employed 27 years by the Embarcadero Resort in Newport, OR where she retired at the age of 72. Darline enjoyed gardening, reading and her home. Darline is survived by 3 brothers: Norman Larsen, Dennis Smallwood (Charlene), Dwain Smallwood (Peggy); her children: Susan Vanderhoof, Mona Norris, Gary Hockema and Diane Hockema; were blessed with 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Rest Lawn Cemetery with her father and her sister in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be sent to the local Eugene Alzheimer Assoc., 1000 Willagillespie, Suite #100, Eugene, OR 97401. We will miss her, Blessed B.
