She was born May 23, 1932, to parents Alexandre and Marie Bouquinet Drack in Tamatave, Madagascar. She was the oldest of two children. She grew up in Madagascar and moved to Paris, France at the age of 19. She was married to Roger Meunier from Feb. 4, 1950 to March 19, 1953. She married Douglas Williams on July 18, 1956 in Laon, France and moved to the U.S. in 1959. She lived in Fallon, Nev. from her arrival in the U.S. until 1977, when she moved to Yerington, Nev. She and Douglas retired in Depoe Bay in November of 1994. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Newport, where she served as an usher and reader. She was a long time volunteer at the Newport Senior Activity Center and most recently coordinated senior trips. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Douglas Williams; her parents, Alexandre and Marie Bouquinet Drack; and her brother, Georges. She is survived by her sons, Alain Meunier of Crosses, France, and Marc (Belinda) Williams of Dallas, Ore.; her daughter, Linda Williams of Little Rock, Ark; grandchildren, Evan (Natasha), Bryn (Richard), Ian (Kayla), Marie, Joel, Paul and Elisabeth; and one great-granddaughter, Bailey Rae. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 4, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, SW Ninth and Hurbert St. in Newport. Affordable Burial and Cremation is handling arrangements.
