Ruth was born September 21st, 1938 in Colville, Washington to William Ward Hanna and Naomi McElroy. After marrying Gene T. Burr on March 22nd, 1953 in Stevenson, Wa. Ruth and her husband raised their children Katrina Louise Devito, Valerie J Carkhuff and Scott Thomas Burr. Ruth was a very busy homemaker. She loved to bake, crochet and sew, go bowling and do crafts all while keeping up with 3 kids. She loved spending time dancing with her husband at the local Elks, being with family, and loving on the babies! Ruth is survived by her sisters Rose Ryan of Klamath Falls, Or., Norma Hammock of Dallas, Or., Vivian Thompson of Lapine, Or., and her brother Darell Hanna of Dallas, Or. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Gene Burr and her daughter Christina Louise Burr. A graveside service will be held July 15th at noon at Newport Eureka Cemetery. A potluck will follow.
