He was born Aug. 20, 1940 to Frank and Edna (Grossaint) Reed in Boise, Idaho. He was in the Army, and then worked as a miner, and retired from the City of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He married Linda Reed in 2003 in Yachats. (Note: "Yachats" is pronounced "Ya-hots".) He is survived by his wife, Linda Reed; mother, Edna Ceila Jacobsen; sons, David Reed of Hayden Lake, Idaho and John Reed of Boise; daughters, Candie Vonbrutt of Boise, and Tammy Jones of California; sisters, Marie Gillespie of Boise, Pat D. Grandfield of Boise and Mitsy Scheel of Silverton, Idaho; brothers, Terry Peltones of Wilton Manors, Fla., Frank Reed of Kellogg, Idaho, and Greg Reed of Silverton, Idaho.
