She was born July 27, 1936 in Seckenhausen, Germany. She worked as a nurse in obstetrics and geriatrics, however, she was primarily known as a devoted homemaker, lovingly dedicated to her family. She loved animals, particularly her dog, Rosie. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David A. Guiher; sons, Joe Baumgarten of Newport, and Ralph (Cynthia) Kepp of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Carol Ann (Bill) Hall of Newport; and grandchildren, Christopher and Rachel Rogers of Newport. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at All Nations Lutheran Church, 358 NE 12th St. in Newport. A private graveside interment service will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
