She was born Nov. 4, 1916 in Kelso, Wash. She was a resident of Oceanview Senior Living in Newport since July 2005. She did many different types of work through her life but was mainly a caregiver for the elderly. She worked very hard up until retiring at age 76, but she continued the habits of caregiving at Oceanview with the residents and staff that had become her family. She was an independent soul with a mind of her own. She is survived by a niece and nephew in Lincoln County. Affordable Burial and Cremation in Newport is handling arrangements.
