GRIFFITH ANNE A. GRIFFITH, 76 of Lebanon passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. Anne was born in Lebanon on January 3, 1937 the daughter of Auldy and Kreta (Fox) Ayers. She lived and attended her schooling near Lebanon, graduating from Lebanon Union High School in 1954. She married Clark Griffith in Lebanon on September 24, 1954. The couple moved to Newport soon after their marriage where they owned and operated service stations. The couple owned and operated Clark's Texaco and Towing in Newport for several years. They returned to Lebanon to live on Anne's grandparents' homestead near Lacomb in the mid 1990's. Anne attended the Nazarene Church in Newport and the Lacomb Baptist Church near Lebanon. She was active in both church's teaching Sunday school and on the cooking committees for many events. She was a member of T.O.P.S. and K.O.P.S for many years as well as the Ladies Fire Department Auxiliary in Newport and the Lacomb Grange #907. She enjoyed reading, gardening and canning her home grown foods. Anne was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dick Ayers. Anne is survived by her husband, Clark of Lebanon; daughter, Diana May of Woodburn; sons, Clark "Dusty" Griffith of Sandy, OR, Vern Griffith of Lebanon, OR. and Alan Griffith of Toledo, OR; brothers, Jim Ayers of Albany, OR. and Bob Ayers of Springfield, OR; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening October 9, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon, OR. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Lacomb Baptist Church (34400 Meridian Rd. Lebanon). A private family interment will be in the Lacomb Cemetery. Family request memorial donations to the Lacomb Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Huston-Jost Funeral Home 86 W. Grant St. Lebanon, OR 97355.
