She was born the third of seven children in Glenrock, Wyoming on June 15, 1918. December of 1941 Mickie moved to Waldport with her husband Herman (Red) and 8 month old son, Paul. She became and continued to be very active in the community for many years. She very much enjoyed being a part of Home Extension, Baby Clinic, Girl Scouts, PTA, Flu Shot Clinic, Moose, VFW, and TB Association. Mickie and Red worked for Lincoln County School District. Mickie was the Cook Manager for Waldport Elementary for 11 years. Mickie is survived by her three children: Paul of Kuma, Idaho, Barbara (Bob)of Waldport, OR, and Betty (Jim) of South Beach, OR; her sister; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mickie was preceded in death by her husband: Herman (Red); 4 of her 5 sisters and her one brother. At Mickie's request, there are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Waldport Ambulance and South Lincoln Ambulance. Arrangements were entrusted to Affordable Burial & Cremation.
