She was born Dec. 13, 1937 to Herman W. Hayes and Martha L. (Bast) Hayes in Weatherford, Okla. She graduated from Toledo High School. In June 1963, she married Laurence A. Pederson. She was a homemaker and lived throughout the U.S. in Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, California, Florida, Washington and Boston, Mass. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Pederson; parents, Herman and Martha Hayes; and brothers, Duane Hayes and Vernon Hayes. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela J. Lyons of Estacada; son, Farron G. Kaps of Siletz; stepson, Laurence (Ginger) Pederson of Carson City, Nev.; siblings, Betty Wishon of Toledo and Albert Hayes of Fresno, Calif; and four grandchildren.
