She was born Feb. 16, 1951 to Willard Metcalf Sr. and Clara Palamino in Toledo, Ore. She lived her life to the fullest between the Willamette Valley and Siletz, where she is known for her devotion to her ancestors, family and her many forms of beadwork. She was a spirited woman who was a mother, grandmother, and faithful friend to many. A funeral and celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the Siletz Tribal Community Center in Siletz, followed by the final ceremony at Paul Washington Cemetery and a potluck reception.
