She was born Dec. 20, 1911 to Frank and Nettie Shermer in Winet, Ore. She was married to David Freeman, and they had three children together. Her husband passed away unexpectedly in 1962. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Freeman; and sons, Ralph C. Freeman and Dale D. Freeman. She is survived by her son, William Freeman, of Newport. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Bateman Funeral Home, 915 NE Yaquina Heights Dr. in Newport, with burial to follow at the Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
