He was born May 2, 1941 to John Aulden and Leta Lorita (North) Finch in Mangum, Okla. He was one of three children. He graduated from Siletz High School in Siletz, and then served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962. He was married to Gloria Ricker from 1964 until 1981. He moved to St. Helens in 1968 and worked for Boise Cascade until 1981, when he retired. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting, coastal fishing and gardening of strawberries and tomatoes. While at the Avamere living facility in St. Helens, the staff turned over the flower garden to Teddy, as he took such pride and care of the gardens. He is survived by his children, Sonya Finch, Teddy (Kris) Finch and Angela Finch; siblings, John Lee Finch and Joan Bowman; and six grandchildren, Billy Earlywine, Cody, Dawn, Kayla, Jesse and Alden Finch. A celebration of life gathering will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 at Avamere, 2400 Gable Rd. in St. Helens. Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens is handling arrangements.
