She was born April 11, 1934 to Tom and Ellen (Kuhn) Voss in Lima, Mont. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in White Hall, Mont. She moved from Montana to Oregon, living in various areas throughout Oregon. She worked as a bookkeeper for Harbor Village Mobile Home Park in Newport for 18 years and enjoyed her work. She enjoyed cooking for her sons and grandchildren. She was always a great mother and caretaker to everyone she knew, and took the best care of her husband, Pete. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ellen Voss. She is survived by her husband of more than 56 years, Pete Peterson of Newport; sons, Lee (Romona) Peterson of Ten Mile, Ore., and Lloyd (Lynn) Peterson of Chehalis, Wash.; former daughter-in-law, Judith Peterson; brother, Ken (Helen) Voss of Washington; grandchildren, Rex (Nona) Peterson of Chehalis, Julie Peterson of Eugene, Renee Peterson of Roseburg, Jennifer Peterson of Newport; and Myriah Peterson of Roseburg; and three great-grandchildren.
