He was born Feb. 9, 1923 in San Francisco. He is survived by his wife, Betty B. Hay-Sinclair; daughter, Susan Fry; and stepdaughter, Patricia Osborn. A funeral service was held Feb. 15. An online memorial book is available at www.batemanfuneralhome.net. Bateman Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.
