Paulina was the 11th of 14 children born to Joseph Kominski and Anna Korbilka Kominski. She was born May 29th, 1915 in Aberdeen, Washington. She has one surviving sister, Anna Rutledge of Edmonds, Washington. Paulina is survived by her daughters, Paulina M. Thorne of Portland, OR and Susie Lee Judd of Siletz, OR. She is also survived by grandchildren; Paul Gesch of Siletz, OR, Don Gesch of Tacoma, WA, Dave Gesch of Portland, OR, Dan Gesch of Vancouver, WA, Samuel Judd of Vancouver, WA, Edward Judd of Anchorage, AK, Connie Anicker of Siletz, OR and Lisa Robertson of Portland, OR, 18 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Paulina was proceeded in death by her husband, Paul Edwin Burnette and two grandsons, Richard Lee Judd and Warren Jacob Gesch. Paulina and Paul had their own business, Burnette's Custom Upholstery and had a shop in Waldport in the 40's and later in Newport, where they lived until they retired to their home on the Siletz River. Of all the places she lived in her life, she loved her home on the river the most. Paulina loved her yard, flowers, and gardening. She was also an excellent seamstress and enjoyed knitting. She was sharp and had a great memory and blessed her family with her cheerful attitude and great sense of humor. She was courageous and seldom complained. She will be greatly missed.
