Thompson Agnes V. Thompson, 95, of Newport, Ore., died July 31, 2013. She was born Dec. 5, 1917 to Axel and Anna Aasen in Astoria, Ore. Entombment has taken place, and a memorial service will be at 2 pm. Monday, Aug. 12, at Bateman Funeral Home chapel, 915 NE Yaquina Heights Dr. in Newport.
