Jessica was raised in a blended family and, from infancy, was exposed to a wide variety of people of quite diverse backgrounds, personalities and cultures; which likely played a profound roll in her ability to be comfortable with and approachable by so many. Jessica graduated Santa Rosa High School in 1996, but spent most of her adult life on the Oregon Coast which she came to call home and love so much, along with the many friends she made there. Jessica was a proud business owner of the Well Bean Coffee shop in Newport after having worked in title/escrow and publishing and coffee ventures in Santa Rosa. The community was so very supportive of her through her various trials, but especially throughout the last 3 years since her diagnosis--for which the family is ever grateful. Jessica was known for being willing to help others and for her exceptional organizational skills; a quality she displayed to the very end-- a little mayhem was acceptable, chaos was not. Jessica is survived by: Father & step-mother, Ernie & Valerie Knight of Santa Rosa, CA; Mother and step-father, Jennefer and Steve Frye formally of Santa Rosa, now residing in Upper Lake, CA; Brothers: Nathan Knight, Mathis Beutler, Marc Beutler and Christopher Knight along with their wives and children and her sister Emily Chen and her husband all of California; Grandparents: George and Betty Knight of Ukiah, CA and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dog and loyal companion, Bitsy--an abused pup she adopted and with whom there was a great interchange of love, comfort and security. A celebration of Jessica's life will be held at the Newport Yacht Club September 15th at 4pm - all family and friends are encouraged to attend.
