She was born Oct. 1, 1927 to Adolf and Hilda (Olsen) Peterson in Portland, Ore. She was raised in Portland, and in 1945 she graduated from Grant High School. She married William E. Hoak on Feb. 26, 1946. She worked for Meier & Frank. And she became a real estate agent for Hoak Realty. After retiring, she and her husband traveled around the U.S. by RV. They had vacation homes in Bend and Lincoln City. They permanently moved to Lincoln City from Portland. She liked to knit and collected Hummel statues. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Hilda Peterson; sister, Bernice McGibbons; and brother, Norman Peterson. She is survived by her husband, William E. Hoak of Lincoln City; daughter, Louise Gregoire of Toledo, Ore.; sons, William E. Hoak Jr. of Lincoln City and Thomas (Michele) Hoak of Toledo; grandchildren, James Gregoire, Steven (Jennie) Gregoire, Kaylee Anderson, Thomas Hoak Jr., Michael (Angela) Hoak and Benjamin Hoak; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
