She was born Sept. 26, 1961 to LeRoy and Mary DeWolf in Berwyn, Ill. She had twin daughters, Valerie and Heather, while operating a flower shop in Chicago with her brother, Dave DeWolf. She started moving west, first to Colorado for nine years, then she decided to move to the Oregon coast in 1992 because she always wanted to live by the ocean. She, her husband, and daughters built a house in Yachats, near the ocean. Five years later, they moved to the Siletz/Logsden area, and she started attending the Singing Salmon Sweat Lodge and became a member, fully embracing the native culture and spirituality. Her hobbies included gardening, camping, hiking and biking. She also enjoyed making jewelry, reading, traveling, sitting by the ocean, beachcombing, spending time with her husband and daughters, and attending the Singing Salmon Sweat Lodge.
