He was born June 28, 1940 to John and Leona (Pendexter) Bradley in Bridgton, Maine. He married Marcia Lee Cannell on May 30, 1959. He graduated from Bridgton High School in June 1959. In July of 1963, he and Marcia and two young daughters, Brenda and Gina, drove from the East Coast to the West Coast to Salem, Ore. In September of that year, he attended Salem Technical Vocational School's forestry class. He graduated in June 1964 and then applied for a temporary, eight-month appointment at the Alsea Ranger District. In February, his appointment ended and he couldn't be rehired until he was off for a few weeks. He started working at Clemens' Lumber in Philomath. In June of 1965, he was hired by the Waldport Ranger District on a second temporary appointment, and then in 1966 he was hired on a permanent basis. He retired from the Waldport district in August of 1993. He loved hunting, fishing, crabbing, and working outside in his greenhouse and yard. He was a real handyman. He could fix, build or repair just about anything. He had a passion for restoring old furniture or building some special pieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bradley and Leona Bradley Preble. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marcia Bradley; children, Brenda (Greg) Bisson of Siletz, Gina (Douglas) Burroughs of Bend, John (Sharlene) Bradley of Salem, Joanna Bradley of Siletz; sister, Aloha Hilton of Norridgewock, Maine; grandchildren, Courtney Burroughs (David) Brown of Bend, Shantae and Whitney Bradley of Salem, Ashley and Dylan Bisson of Siletz; great-grandson, Deacon Brown of Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. on Aug. 29 at the Moose Lodge, 250 NW John St. in Waldport. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Oregon Chapter, P.O.
