She was born May 8, 1917 in Seattle WA. She was the daughter of William and Logia Latimer. Her grade school was St. George in Seattle, Puyallup High School and Cornish School of Art on Seattle. Later in life she attended Oregon State University and studied Art. She married George Stuermer in Puyallup, Washington on May 6, 1938. They had four children that they raised in Puyallup, Portland and Albany Oregon. The children are Nancy Bloodgood of Gig Harbor, WA, Dave Stuermer of Vancouver, WA, Terrence Stuermer of Portland, OR, Susan Gordon of Canby, OR. After George's death she married Donald Coon, who also preceded her in death and they resided in Waldport, Oregon. His children are Donald Coon of Honolulu, HI, Jane Hollar of Lakewood, WA, and Karen Dobson of Union, WA. Miki had thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Miki was involved as a scout leader for both boys and girls. She taught art classes. Miki was a member of the Catholic Church, art guilds in Newport and Kona, and Spring Hill Country Club where she was a President of the Women's Golf Association. The services will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Canby, Oregon on Friday February 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Food Bank and Maryknoll Missions.
