Bond, 73, of Waldport, Ore., died after a long battle with lung disease on Nov. 3, 2010 in Waldport. She was born Jan. 29, 1937 to Katie and Charles Perritt in Clarks, La. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, trips to Reno, oil painting, gardening and pets. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and working on crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Bond, and son, Barry Bond. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Steve) Alborn of Lebanon, Leslie (Colleen) Bond III of Waldport, Debra Dawson of South Beach, Earl (Nancy) Bond of Lebanon, James (Jennifer) Bond of Blodgett; daughter-in-law, Khadija Bond of Waldport; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of life has been held. Memorial donations may be sent to Samaritan Pacific Hospice, PO Box 945, Newport, OR 97365. Affordable Burial and Cremation in Newport is handling arrangements.
