She was born Aug. 6, 1922 to Maude and Roy Tilly-Pitts in Wales, and raised in Wembly, England. She served in the Woman's Royal Navy Service in World War II. She was an actress who worked many years with the Tallahassee Little Theater in Tallahassee, Fla. and the Lemon Bay Playhouse in Englewood, Fla. She also had a role in the 1968 John Wayne movie "Green Berets." She was an avid tennis player, playing well into her early 80s, winning numerous awards for the Englewood Tennis Club women's team. She loved the sea, and her ashes will be scattered in warm ocean waters. She is survived by her children, Christopher Bellavita of Cottage Grove, Gerard Bellavita of Waldport, Cathleen (Conte) Carney of Washington, D.C., Allison (Conte) Olson of Big Lake, Minn., William "Bill" Conte of Stockholm, Sweden; and her grandchildren, Radiance Bellavita of Seattle, Justin Bellavita, of Eugene, Sara Bellavita of Lake Tahoe, Gabriel Bellavita of Cottage Grove, Julian Bellavita of Cottage Grove, Matt Olson of Big Lake, Minn. and Grace Olson of Big Lake.
