She was born March 26, 1927 in Bend, Ore. She graduated from Bend Senior High School. She attended the University of Oregon for about a year while studying art. She retired from AT&T after a 30-year career. She enjoyed golfing, painting, and traveling, especially spending winters in Desert Center, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy. She is survived by her sons, Ron and Tom Smith; daughter-in-laws, Sandy, Sharon, Sue and Sally; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Yachats Lions Club. A gathering of friends and family will meet from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 225 Reeves Circle in Yachats.
