Smith, 50, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died Nov. 3, 2010 in Aberdeen, Wash. He was born Feb. 15, 1960 to William L. Smith and Linda C. Grubb. He was a graduate of Newport High School. He was a surfer instructor and supervisor at Pure Hawaiian Surf Academy. William and his identical twin brother, Wayne, wrestled for the National Wrestling Federation as the tag team Double Destruction and won the world league wrestling championship title. He was an avid surfer and big wave rider at the North Shore and Waimea Bay. He loved fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, singing and playing his guitar. He was married to Cynthia L. Wood in Reno, Nev. and he later married Charity Phears in Lihue, Kauai. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne A. Smith; and stepfather, John C. Stribich. He is survived by his parents, Linda Stribich and William L. Smith; sisters, Tina A. Durham and Kim A. Smith of Seaside, Nikki Chicon and Jaclyn Smith of Reno, Nev. and stepsisters, Kristen Dach and Miceal Schafer of Reno, Nev.; and 13 nieces and nephews. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Larry will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, at North Coast Family Fellowship, 2245 Wahanna Road in Seaside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Coast Fellowship Children's Ministry, a local animal shelter or a charity of one's choice.
