Wagner Tamara "Tami" E. Wagner, 52, of Lincoln City, Ore., died Oct. 25, 2010. She was born June 5, 1958 to John and Mary (Ryan) Tiagwad in South Norwalk, Conn. She graduated from high school in 1976 and went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1980, obtaining her bachelor's degree in wildlife biology. She moved to Idaho, where she worked for the Idaho Fish and Game. She met and married David Wagner in 1982 and then moved to the Portland area in 1989. Tami always wanted to live on the coast, so in 1992, they moved to Lincoln City and built a log home on Schooner Creek. During her 21 years at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, she made many friends and was there to help anyone in need. She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Hilary; son, Ryan; father, John (Rhoda) Tiagwad; mother, Mary (Robert) Burgess; brother, Michael (Debra) Tiagwad; and 11 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Bateman Funeral Home, 915 NE Yaquina Heights Drive in Newport. There will be a celebration of life gathering of family and friends held on Nov. 6th in Newport. For those wishing to express their sympathies to Tami's family, her husband, Dave Wagner, has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the funds set up to help ODFW colleague Casey Deckard with the continuing expenses stemming from his own motor vehicle accident almost a year ago. Memorial donations may be sent to Umpqua Bank (541-563-7250) for the benefit of Casey Deckard or West Coast Bank (541-563-3273) for "The Friends of Waldport for the benefit of Casey Deckard." Pacific View Memorial Chapel in Lincoln City is handling arrangements. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
