He was born March 9, 1951 to Harold and Leona (Vernnon) Siebens in Portland, Ore. In 1969, he graduated from Madison High School in Portland. He attended Lower Columbia College in Longview, Wash. and earned an associate's degree in business management and culinary arts. In 1970, he married Shirley McMurtry in Portland, Ore. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1975 to 1979. He was in cooking school in the Coast Guard and also earned a certificate of cooking from Portland Community College in Portland. During his life, he also lived in Santa Rosa, Calif. and Portland, Maine. He enjoyed painting, cooking, collecting music and playing guitar. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Leona Siebens. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Siebens (McMurtry); daughters, Melissa Park, of Cinnabar, Wash. and Sarah Howard, of Portland; and grandsons, Tyrell Park of Cinnabar, Christopher Howard of Portland and Evan Howard of Portland. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the Nazarene Church, 7016 NE Sandy Blvd. in Portland.
