James "Jim" Bogeart Sr. died July 6, 2010, at his home of cancer. He was 78. Jim was born in McClave, Colo., on July 23, 1931, to Roy and Mamie Bogeart. He served as a medic in the Korean War. Later, he retired from truck driving and went into business for himself at Three B Enterprises Field & Yard Mowing. He married his wife in Colorado on Aug. 30, 1957, and moved to Oregon in 1968. Jim was a 49-year member of the Elks, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a life member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs. He enjoyed having coffee twice a day with his friends at the Otis Café. He is survived by his wife, Babe Bogeart of Otis; his sons, James Jr. and Roy Bogeart of Otis; daughter, Ginna Costa and her husband, Mark, of Lincoln City; sister, Pearl McDowell of Canon City, Colo.; brother, Jack Bogeart of Pueblo, Colo.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and lots of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His parents, a younger brother, one daughter and one grandson preceded him in death. Jim's family and friends will honor him in a celebration of life service at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 17, at the Chapel by the Sea Presbyterian Church in Lincoln City.
