He was born April 7, 1958 to Elliott Jerome "Skip" and Shirley Welch in Newport. He had several careers, including being a logger, a certified welder and a boat builder. He loved the outdoors, going fishing, hunting, camping, and truly loved being with his family and friends. He married Diana Schleiger in Toledo in 1994. He was preceded in death by his father, Elliott Jerome "Skip" Welch. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Welch of Newport; his wife, Diana Welch of Toledo; daughter, Ronell (Kelly) Grant of Lincoln City; brother, Wally Welch of Toledo; sisters, Glenna Cook of Washington and Vickie Duncan of Toledo; two grandsons, Micah Grant and Talon Grant; and former wife and good friend, Shannon Case.
