Lorimor, of Newport, Ore., died June 18, 2010 at her home. She was born Oct. 20, 1925 to Charles and Doris (Dickerson) Joslin, in New Meadows, Idaho. She worked at Mark's Market Basket on the Newport Bayfront for many years. Through the years, she was a member of Rebekah Lodge, Merry Minglers Pinochle Club, Newport Elks, Agate Beach Ladies Golf Pinochle, and the Mortimer Society Ladies Pinochle Club. Her favorite activities included dancing with her husband, playing cards and Bingo, and spending lots of time with her family. Bennie, her devoted 18-year-old cat, held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Lorimor; sister, Helen "Irene" Doner; and brothers, Frank, Walt and Warren Joslin. She is survived by sons, Lonnie (Carla) Lorimor of Lahaina, Hawaii, Dennis (Gina) Lorimor of Renton, Wash.; daughter, Jill (Russ) Keeton of Turner; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Sharpe of Dallas; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a private family interment. An open house celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Friends and family will be notified in advance. Memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Pacific Hospice, 930 SW Abbey Street, Newport, OR 97365. Bateman Funeral Home in Newport is handling arrangements.
