Leovich Janet Goresky Leovich, age 90, of McKinney, Texas, died on June 20, 2010. She was 90. She was born Dec. 22, 1919, in Portland to Oscar J. Goresky and Mabel (Van Zante) Goresky. Janet grew up in Oregon, where she graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During World War II, she worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as a postmaster. She married John Leovich in Seattle in 1947. He preceded her in death in 2000. After marriage, she and her husband owned and operated The Il Trovatore and Tony's, both in Portland, and later Capt. John's in Lincoln City. Janet moved to Plano, Texas, in 2000 to be closer to her family. She is survived by her son, Ted Leovich and his wife, Vickie of McKinney, Texas, and grandson, Parker Leovich of Plano. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mabel Goresky, and husband, John Leovich. No services are planned.
