He was born Jan. 6, 1951 to Ivan F. Driscol Sr. and Barbara Jean (Beeman) Driscol in Tillamook. He grew up with the nickname "Van" and graduated from Cottage Grove High School. On Oct. 1, 2003, he married Kim Naurene Maddox. He enjoyed his work as a shrimper in Waldport and liked being outdoors. He especially liked drawing up boat plans. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Floyd Driscol Sr. He is survived by his wife, Kim Driscol of Waldport; sons, Joshua Ivan Driscol and Christopher Driscol; sisters, Linda McDonald of Yachats, MaryAnn Brundige of Springfield, and Joan Macy of Baker City; brothers, Jon Driscol of Springfield, Donald Driscol of Eugene, and David Driscol of Baker City. His family will gather to celebrate his life at 1 p.m. on June 19 in Springfield. Affordable Burial and Cremation in Newport is handling arrangements.
