She was born May 2, 1942 to Anthony Gerhardt and Mae (Phillips) Gerhardt in Ione, Wash. She attended college and trained to be a medical laboratory assistant. She married Harry Tomson on May 12, 1962, and had two children. She worked in the medical field for most of her life and also went to the mission field out of the country. She was a member of Newport Foursquare Church and the golden girls club through the church. She enjoyed jewelry making, reading and praying and ministering to others. She loved God and loved others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mae Gerhardt. She is survived by her husband, Harry Tomson; son, Phillip (Kristin Webb) Tomson; daughter, Michelle (Donald) Jeske (Tomson); brother, Walter (Sharon) Gerhardt; grandsons, Mark Wheatley and Brian Wheatley; and nephews, Kevin and James. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, June 5, at 3 p.m. at Newport Foursquare Church, 215 NW 15th St. Affordable Burial and Cremation in Newport is handling arrangements.
