I am trying to find out more about the lives, ancestors and descendants of my ggggrandparents George CUSITER (1793-1872) and Jane ISBISTER (c1795-1857) of Nether Hobbiston, Stennes, Firth. Both are buried in Finston Old Churchyard. Quite close by is the grave of the Firth schoolteacher (was the name SPENCE?) who I believe encouraged my gggrandfather George Firth CUSITER (1830-1874) to leave Orkney to become a teacher and inventor.
