    3. Hello All, I am a little confused about the parishes of the Orkney Islands. (As well as the Orkney Islands' relationship to the Shetland Islands.) I have bee looking for ancestral records in the parish of Sandwick. I thought it was part of the Orkney Islands but now it looks like it might be in the Shetland Islands. Can anyone shed some light on this for this dense old guy. thanks. dan ----- Original Message ----- From: David Armstrong <davidrli@iinet.net.au> To: <ORKNEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 1999 4:38 AM Subject: Re: [ORKNEY] 1821 Census lookup-please > The six surviving Parishes of the 1821 Census (Deerness, Orphir, St Andrews, > Sandwick, South Ronaldshay & Burray, Stromness) are all available on > microfiche in North America from the Ontario Genealogical Society in > Toronto. > > David, > Western Australia > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Janine McIntyre <janine@muskoka.com> > To: <ORKNEY-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 1999 10:27 AM > Subject: RE: [ORKNEY] 1821 Census lookup-please > > > > Pam > > If you find someone who has the 1821 census could you find out where they > > got it from.
