My Orcadian relatives -- Williamsons, Irvines, Leslies and Eunsons -- all connect with Fair Isle via the Dispersia of 1832-33. They all ended up in Stronsay and definitely kept up the connections with their fellow Shetlanders via trips back, marriages, etc. Looks like being fishermen for once had some advantages! Anyone else with any other observations? Phil Pursley -- great-grandson of Margaret Williamson of Whitehall, Stronsay.
