Hi everyone, I am new to this list and would like to post the name I am searching. Jacob WILSON born in the Orkney Islands about 1850. He came over to Canada and worked for the Hudson Bay Company as a fur trader. He married Henrietta or Henrita and I am not sure of the surname. She was a Cree Indian who was born in Canada. I have been unsuccessful at finding any information on her and very little on Jacob. They had a son, James John Wilson who was born in Manitoba in 1886. He married Margaret Laidler. I have no other information other than, Jacob was from Orkney and would like to hear from anyone searching this name. I have contacted Hudson By and did get a little information but only on his duties working for them, no personal information. Many thanks Barb Swan in BC
